Recent Project: Experiments in Opera

11/3/2017

I recently transcribed a fascinating conversation between Jason Cady, co-founder of Experiments in Opera, and Ione, writer/director of The Nubian Word for Flowers, which premieres in New York on November 30, 2017.

The interview really speaks for itself. Click here to read it.

One thing I really love about my job is getting to glimpse inside the minds of so many brilliant, inspired, passionate people who are doing and thinking about things I never knew existed.

Listening to Ione discuss her work and this show was a really amazing experience. Carefully listening to someone talk about carefully listening--that's my kind of gig.

Below is a trailer for The Nubian Word for Flowers. If you'll be in New York on November 30th, tickets can be purchased here. Transcribing this interview really made me wish I could go!

A Year in the Life of Sharp Copy Transcription

One year ago, with almost 20 years of transcription experience, I launched my own business, Sharp Copy Transcription! It has been a great year full of fascinating projects and incredible clients.

The variety and richness of the content that I transcribe is mind-blowing. I love getting to transform voices into written form, so they can be used to make positive change and to preserve history. I love listening to stories, making connections between my different projects, and being inspired by what I hear every day.

I work with talented and accomplished clients, who are conducting important research, making films, writing books and articles, recording oral histories, producing podcasts, and making policy changes.
